WHY DO I LOVE KATIE ASHLEY?

Yes? Why do I love her anyway? Simple.  Oops, Is there always a reason to prove why? I just love her! Anyways, you guys want probably my reason. So here is it.

I love her because she’s brilliant in her work. Yep! She writes very well, her books are very much detailed and you can easily picture out what she intended to express towards her readers. That’s one of the reasons why I love her and her books. She never fail to make us smile with all those teasers and despite of those cliffhanger endings of one of her books. ;)

Another reason is that she’s very much loving to her fans. I myself didn't expect to be noticed by the one and only Katie Ashley. I mean who am I to be noticed? Like hello, she’s Katie, the author of NYT best selling books. Yet here I am, one of her friends in this social networking site. She always takes time to reply all of her fan girls despite her busy schedules.

Lastly, she’s BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT. She’s beautiful inside because she remains down-to-earth despite she already bagged a NYT best selling title. She’s very approachable. She also appreciates the works of her fans for her. Those simple things are always and always appreciated by her. She’s true to her fans. That’s why I am so thankful and very much honored to be one of her friends. Forever I will be your fan girl!

THE PROPOSAL. a book review.

Wow. Where should I start? I still can’t believe that my most loved, yes most LOVED and it’s more than LIKED, love story in my entire book junkie life already ended with a happily ever after.

Dear Miss Katie Ashley, if you happen to pass by review for your amazing book, THE PROPOSAL, I just wanted you to know that I did this book review, to quote it in a Filipino term "buwis-buhay” or to translate it in English, life risking. Yep, I will give all I’ve got just to make this book review because I really wanted to express what I fcuking feel towards it.

(Excuse me if I cuss)

What can I say, I am more than overwhelmed to read this book.
Let me start by telling how I got to read this book. A friend of mine suggested me to read The Proposition. I just say “nah, maybe some other time, I've still got lots of books here to read.” And at that time I was so hooked by FSOG. It goes on for about three months I guess? Well then, I tried Katie Ashley’s The Proposition one afternoon, well since it was then my OFF duty. And there my story continues. Hooked, so hooked with this love story.

Okay, let me get to my review. Gosh!

“SOMETIMES, IT TAKES FOR TWO PEOPLE TO BREAK UP, SO THEY CAN GROW UP. AND IT TAKES GROWING UP TO MAKE THE RELATIONSHIP WORK.” 

Well this quote really does suits to the both of them. Emma and Aidan. Although they didn’t officially call themselves as boyfriend-girlfriend, still they have this understanding and that they agreed on wanting “more" from their so-called relationship. Well, what was their relationship anyways?

We all know deep down that Aidan already has feelings for Emma but well, coward-ness hits the shit out of him. He really is afraid to express what he felt for Emma because of his past. Well what brings Aidan to the present is because of his past. Guilt? YES! But you do realize and ask me why GUILT? Now I say, you read it and fall in love with the story.

The proposal is a roller coaster ride of emotions. Yes, roller coaster or would you rather compare to it to what? I can’t think of anything else. I really feel what Emma feels at the first part of the book. She’s broken hearted at the same time hates of what Aidan did to her days ago. She has to be strong for herself and for her little man, baby NOAH.

Thank goodness, there are people who will never ever leave by her side. Here comes her very best friend, CASEY, the other best friend CONNOR, and Aidan’s family headed by their old man, PATRICK. They were always behind her back and cheering up for her and supporting all the way.

Speaking of support system, enter the very charming, handsome, gorgeous, what else you call him Doctor Alpesh Nadeen, who happens to know Emma while Patrick was being brought to the ER because of mild cardiac problems. At first sight, he really charmed Emma to the point he is decided as in 100% decided to “woo” Emma.

And now, he is considered to be Aidan’s greatest rival in Emma’s heart. Pesh and Emma dated until they both realized they were still stuck on their pasts. Not yet ready on letting go. They both realized that after they kissed. Yep, they both kissed. And you are gonna find out what it feels after reading the part or I must say chapter, where they kissed. IT REALLY HURTS, YOU KNOW? IT HURTS!

Now, let’s get in to the best part, I can say that this chapter is purely and purely and PURELY LOVE.

AIDAN ALREADY DROPPED THE BOMB AND WHOLE-HEARTEDLY CONFESSED HIS TRUE AND TRUE-EST FEELINGS TO EMMA. (gosh! That part really did make me cry!)


Well, I can’t help myself, I will post some spoilers. *grins*

…AND IT’S UP FOR YOU TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. If I continue to give you spoilers, you might not read the book because I myself am willing. But because I love Katie Ashley, I’d rather not. 

I know that all good things come to an end but I may add that it will never be forgotten. Katie Ashley’s books just made my book junkie life more colorful. I mean these books of her are definitely on my top ten favorite list. No doubt with that. It will take some time for me to get over with her books. Because every time I read some parts that struck me the most, I always ended up finishing the story, all over again. Yep. You read it right. That’s how I fall really hard with this book.


MY HEART SWELLS. ACHES. AND ACHES. AND ACHES. because this book is just so fcuking good!!!!

To miss Katie Ashley, thank you so much for creating these wonderful books. You deserve to have again another NYT Best Selling title. YOU REALLY DESERVE TO HAVE IT AGAIN.

Hopeless. A Book Review

Dear Miss Colleen Hoover. if you happen to read my review... i just want you to know...

WOW...

What can I say????

First of all, there is so much. No. like there is a lot lot lot lot on my mind that I want to say or write about this absolutely, wonderfully and amazingly written book by no other than MS. COLLEEN HOOVER. But, I just don’t know where to start. Because… because… BECAUSE THIS BOOK IS THE BEST-est among the BESTS in the history of BESTS. Yep, you read it right.

I know from the very start that this book contains a lot. I’ve read the other two books of Colleen, Slammed and Point of Retreat and it just took my breath away. This book, HOPELESS is the best book I’ve read in my entire whole life. Yep, IN MY ENTIRE WHOLE LIFE.

HOPELESS talks about different aspects of life. It tackles about stages of life, from being a toddler, to being a child to being a teenager to handling conflicts, circumstances, problems, and most especially it talks unconditional love. LOVE. This book can teach you so many many many things. Unlike other books that only talks about love, s*x, and it’s actually all fairytale then that’s it, you may like it but you can eventually forget what the story is all about. But this, it leaves something on you, especially in your very core, your HEART, it leaves something on you that will make you realize, “GOD! THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING IN LIFE.” Life. Life as we know it.

Like Sky, I can’t put into words how much I am affected with this book, I tried to search for an adjective to describe what I thought but I can’t. THIS BOOK JUST MAKES ME FEEL.

My thinking at this very moment is so scrambled, like scrambled eggs! LOL but seriously, I don’t know what else to say.
INCREDIBLE. As what Holder told Sky, this is INCREDIBLE.

But enough with those praises Ms. Colleen; I know you don’t need another factor that will BOOST UP YOUR EGO, BECAUSE I KNOW YOU ALREADY RECEIVED TONS AND TONS OF PRAISES FOR MAKING THIS BOOK. (Imagine this line being said the Holder sending those insult-like text messages.) and Ms. Colleen, you know I am just kidding right? You know how much I LIVE YOU :)

Well, enough with all those.. I just wanted to quote my favorite “quotes” from the book.

There are a lot of quotes from the book which I really like. Here are some of them.

The part where it gives me a shivery, fuzzy, chilling [positive] feeling where Holder almost kissed Sky, or should I say, Sky almost kissed Holder on their first date night. THAT PART I FEEL LIKE I AM COMING DOWN WITH STOMACH VIRUS.

And here’s another one…

Well, Sky is just the most amazing, the bravest woman I’ve ever known in my entire “book junkie life.” She still remained strong even though she’s about to breakdown to all the things she was able to gather, the truth behind all of the lies and the TRUTH about her life. She’s just amazing. I adore her and definitely admire for her bravery. She’s simply amazing. NO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE.

Then here goes HOLDER. Holder, Holder oh Holder. Where can I find you in this world. Because if I know where can I find you, I will definitely look for you and hunt you and tie you up. LOL! Just joking. I won’t take you away from Sky. I just love both of you. You are perfect, and God made you for each other.

WELL, FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN’T READ THIS YET, I SUGGEST THAT YOU SHOULD READ THIS BOOK. I SWEAR, YOU TOO WILL FEEL WHAT I FEEL. I CAN ASSURE YOU.

To MS. COLLEEN HOOVER, you just made it again. You freak the living shit out of me because of this amazing book! I am not really good at doing book reviews, but I don’t know why, why the hell I made this. IT’S BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN EXPRESS MY FEELINGS FOR THIS BOOK! I will put my all just to write this book review. And if you happen to read this, I am very grateful for that!

I ONCE PROMISED TO MYSELF THAT I WILL READ THIS BOOK BEFORE 2012 ENDS AND I HAVE NO REGRETS READING THIS. THIS BOOK MADE MY 2012. I AM SERIOUS! THIS IS MY FAVORITE! YEP.

So this is it, I am just sharing what I feel and damn, this is soooooooo BIG DEAL for me to write this review.

i chose Katie Ashley's book, THE PROPOSITION because...

i really like the story line. though i am not a super fan of third person story, well this changed my points of view.

here this goes. i like what Emma and Aidan had in the story. Emma being a desperate want-to-bear-a-child person meeting Aidan who is known as a player and a womanizer. well they both benefited each other for what Emma is proposing to Aidan. no strings attached, just sex. well, i think it really doesn't work, would you agree? eventually, when they were on their way on baby-making, both of them, i might say developed an attraction to each other, and as a reader, it gives me a shivery, fuzzy, chilling [positive] feeling, yeah, seriously. i feel that. though they didn't dropped the "L" word, i know they were attracted to each other, they still just can't say the word because they were afraid to get hurt in the end.

i kinda like this conversation of them..

Aidan rolled his eyes as he eased Emma down on his bed. 

"That makes me a real gentlemen, huh?"

"Umm, hmm," she murmured, snuggling under the covers.

"I'm glad you think so highly of me, Em."

"Just don't break my heart," she said softly.

She was already breathing heavily when he replied, "I'm going to try my best not to."


ANYWAYS, IT'S JUST MY REVIEW AND MY RATING FOR THE BOOK IS 5STARS, cause there's no 6, eh? LOL

to the author of this book, who i envied EMMA HARRISON for bearing AIDAN FITZGERALD'S son, i seriously can't wait for THE PROPOSAL. it really broke my heart and left me hanging when Aidan Called his dad over the phone. "POP IT'S ME. I'VE FUCKED UP, AND I NEED YOUR HELP." -TORTURE!

Seriously! I am more than eager to read the proposal, i really wonder what will happen to Aidan, on his way to win Emma's heart back. And after she gives birth. Then enter another eye candy, CAPITAL P-E-S-H, damn, "do i make you nervous Emma?" Ohhhh no, seriously, my whole body specifically my uterus is about to explode!!!! Okay, EMMA IS NOW THE NEW RAPUNZEL, SHE ALREADY HAS THE LONGEST HAIR IN THE WHOLE WIDEST GALAXY, having 2 seriously good looking, charming and handsome boys "woo-ing" her!

i am Emilie Isabel Fatima M. Antonio. 21, turning 22. Filipina. Registered Nurse. and what? now, i can call myself a book worm. well not literally that i have tons and tons of books, it's just that we have this so called "ebooks"?? yep, i have lots here stored in my laptop and ipod. it keeps me company.
